Sherwood Forest

I feel like the escape room itself took a backseat to the bar/restaurant and axe throwing offerings at Escape Manor. The physical space itself lacked polish. There were exposed wires, places where the paint job was poor, and a tripping hazard that could have been marked more clearly. I expected more from this room, especially considering it opened towards the end of 2022. It was giving 2016 vibes. For the most part the puzzle flow was ok, with the highlight being a challenge towards the end. I am assuming there was busted tech for the finale, because there was an unlocked trunk with a sign that said not to open it until the end. We inadvertently opened the trunk beforehand and the GM had to tell us not to do that. It was too late at that point because we already saw what was inside. The staff at Escape Manor were nice. It was a busy evening, but they were attentive and kind. I would go back to Escape Manor for drinks and axe throwing. I would hesitate to go back and play another escape room.
