Cartel: DEA Undercover

Cartel had a great beginning and there are bits of fun to be had throughout, the main problem of this room is the amount missing from it. After talking to our GM when we got out, he told us there used to be a lot more puzzles and I wish we could have experienced them. Some pieces are now there as part of the room with no real purpose. Though I felt accomplished being able to solve all that I did, I was underwhelmed by a majority of the room.

There were so many irrelevant props. The sorry made no sense. It was so confusing because of the amount of props that aren’t needed. I wouldn’t recommend this room. It’s not worth it

Started off cool but terrible! The worst escape room our group had ever done, was such a huge letdown. They didn’t check to see all hints were properly placed, and none of the clues made sense and we finished the room in less than 30 minutes. They modified the room from what it used to be (back then with more puzzles and challenges) but left all the props and decor there without any change to the gameplay. It was just terrible, don’t recommend. Put some TLC back into the room!

Horrible room with easy and lame puzzles. Confusing and broken puzzles

Definitely an interesting start, but the room really showed its ages. It’s kind of sad that instead of fixing the puzzles or replacing the props, they just left them in the room and turned into red hearings. The room was pretty short and had less puzzles than normal rooms. It’s still a unique experience but it would be so much better if there’s more to do. Would only recommend it if there’s a huge discount.

This was kinda lame. Puzzles weren’t very creative. Some were non functional. Felt like I wasted my money on this one.

Perhaps the most underwhelming of the 60out games we have played. Multiple red herrings, irrelevant props and decor (maybe retired puzzles?). Very visible locks which were not part of the gameplay yet not marked as irrelevant. The story was weak and the gameplay languid and confused.

This DEA room was OKAY. The first part (without giving anything away) was cramped and confusing but also something I hadn’t seen in an escape room before. Once we progressed, the fun and excitement started to dwindle down. It wasn’t really until the end we started to get pumped up again. The story just wasn’t very interesting to us. The puzzles were pretty good though and I thought the atmosphere was not too bad either. I would do most of the other rooms at this 60Out location before doing DEA though.

This room is just plain fun and one of the most intense rooms I’ve done. Theme was cool and experience kept you on your toes from start to finish!
