Rock 'n roll legends and Tacoma natives, Grit City, are set to start their North American tour tonight at the Tacoma Dome. The show is sold out and everything has to go off without a hitch. With almost an hour before hitting the stage, it comes to light that the band's guitarist lost his lucky guitar and they are refusing to play without it. As the old saying goes, the show must go on! One of the best rooms in the Seattle area! The rock band/music theme was really well integrated into the puzzles, the visual design was clean and immersive, and the puzzles themselves were well structured with visual affordances clearly connecting which clues went with which locks. Overall a great experience, and i look forward to any new rooms Cityscape games creates!

It was a very well built room, and was lots of fun! We had several age groups in our group, and we were able to utilize everybody. There were very unique puzzles. I feel it was a good balance of technology as well as manual puzzles/locks. I recommend this room and the owner was extremely friendly!! Overall it was an excellent experience

Top notch from top to bottom! Very happy with our game experience from excellent pre-booking customer service down to post game. The game itself also stellar. Quite challenging yet all the information and links connecting puzzle elements were there. It was different having some elements used more than once but in different ways AND we were informed during briefing so it wasn’t misleading. It’s always a tricky balance allowing the kids to have fun while maintaining some order and puzzle processing. Our host did an amazing job of the right clues at the right time to aid in the right balance. We were so close and on the final puzzle so he let us finish it out which took a couple extra minutes. The love this game was built with is palpable in the atmosphere:)
Uniquely novel, clean and crisp down to every detail. Game flowed even better than I was probably even aware of with the chaos of 3 grandkids.

Easily in my top 3! Unique and clever puzzles, excellent signposting, and great customer service. It’s definitely not an easy game…there’s a LOT to do…but it never becomes not fun to play. Highly recommend to anyone. 😁

You’ll definitely be using most of your 75 minutes in this game. We escaped with less than a minute on the clock.
Honestly, it was a mix. Definitely had a handful of locks but it also had some very interesting and practical tech elements.

thanks to a disclaimer on their website, we knew the possible accessibility issues and we were able to be accommodated for my sisters colorblindness. This is the ONLY escape room I’ve ever seen actively volunteer this kind of information and offer accessible alternatives to players. I hope other escape rooms learn follow suit.

On our trip to Washington. We were so excited to try out escape rooms, and we ended up playing about 9 of them, going from Gig Harbor to Tacoma to Seattle. This one was very basic. Picture this: a tiny room with hardly any cool tech stuff, and absolutely no surprises. The puzzles were just okay, nothing really mind-blowing. But hey, the guy running the place, I think he might be the owner, was super nice and acted as our game master. We actually beat the room pretty quickly because it was so straightforward. It felt like we were in a dressing room for some C-list entertainer - not the thrilling experience we were hoping for, you know? And the worst part? They charged us $50 per person for this lackluster room. Honestly, we all felt it wasn't worth that much. We thought it should be more like $30 to be fair. But hey, I guess everyone has different tastes, right?

We had a wonderful time doing our first (of hopefully many) escape room tonight in Tacoma! Cityscape/Daniel really built an awesome game that we thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. We felt really smart whenever we managed to solve a tough puzzle. Although we technically lost, they added an extra minute on the clock so we could finish solving the last puzzle which we truly appreciate! It would’ve sucked to get so close and not see the ending.

One of the best rooms I have ever done. They have puzzles that I have never seen before so it was a breath of fresh air to experience that after so many rooms. Daniel is doing something great here. Can’t wait for more rooms!

Rockstar was a great little gem in Tacoma and definitely worth the trip out of Seattle proper. The game flow was incredibly smooth, and the puzzles were a perfect balance between tough and fun. The owner, Daniel, was also fantastic and great to chat with before and after the game. Definitely recommended!

Wasn’t for me; I didn’t enjoy the room. Some of the puzzles were just not fun and by the end, I was just ready to go. I feel like I needed to have some experience with music to really understand some of the puzzles. The room was well put together and was cleaned. The GM was nice and helpful.
There were several puzzles that I just blatantly found tedious and not fun to play at all. I also found the room too linear as well. Overall, the room was nicely put together and the puzzles were logical, but I feel like I should have had more knowledge with music to do well with the room.
The room was nicely put together and looked great. I believed it as a backstage area.

Imani, I'm so heartbroken to hear that you did not have an enjoyable experience playing Rockstar. I tried my hardest to create a fun and challenging escape room experience that is fair for all players regardless of outside knowledge but it looks like I may have dropped the ball at some point if it left you feeling like you did not have the necessary tools to succeed. I don't know if you know this, but on the booking website, I have a note about potential accessibility concerns and a note to let us know if you have any accessibility issues. For the puzzle I am pretty sure you are referring to, there is a tone-deaf friendly version of the same puzzle available upon request. Just something to know for next time or for anyone else reading this reply that might need similar accommodations :)
