The Apartment Nextdoor - A Dark Experience

Not your typical room! This room is in COMPLETE darkness. It adds a very fun and spooky element to the game. Obviously I’m darkness there aren’t a lot of puzzles to actually solve but the way they did it was very neat. I would have loved this game except a couple things weren’t quite working properly or were delayed. I do recommend this room if you want a much different escape room experience.

This is a unique experience. Do it with people you are close with, okay bumping into, and crack some jokes to have a great time. You can't see, so puzzling is pretty easy. Communication is a must, you can't see :). Enjoy this unique experience

My first pitch black experience and this wont be my last! We LOVED the pitch black room. Its not a typical escape room as they heavily rely on audio cues. Would recommend a smaller group and friends that you are close with as often times you will accidentally running into them. Great for couples. I wish they had more dark experiences!

Not withstanding unintended possible #MeToo moments, this room was completely in the dark and so much fun. If you’re scared of the dark, I would stay away. But if you can manage that fear, take a deep breath and let go of it, you’ll have a great time. It’s the perfect room for inappropriate and hilarious comments. We escaped with a group of 5 and I think that’s the sweet spot for most rooms. I highly recommend this room! The complete darkness was really cool.

Unique room. You are completely in the dark, so communication with others is important.

The best part is when your game finishes and you see the room with the lights on. =)

Extremely immersive, especially toward the end of the experience. I would like to give this room a “loved it” rating, but: The gameplay was ruined at a couple of points by the audio queues. They were largely automatic and the GM said they did not have the control to turn them off. At one point the audio tracks were even playing over top of one another. It was kind of a mess.

The room felt too linear and definitely can be done with a smaller amount of people. We were a group of 5. It definitely is creepy and dark. It was my first ever pitch black game. I’m not sure if I would recommend it to others. Not a bad game but just didn’t hit that sweet spot.

My friend from out of towns first escape room experience. If you want to immerse yourself but may not be a die hard enthusiasts yet this is the perfect room for that. Works with (2) people or you could have no more than 6 players, which I think would be hilarious. I hope your not afraid of the dark because this room is pitch black.
