You and your friends enter the dark tomb, with only a torch and a flickering flashlight to guide you. You have one hour to solve the fortune tellers clues and return home before all is lost. Ancient hieroglyphics cover the walls; could they be a clue? Your team finds a strange box, but it does not easily open. Who knows what other secrets Pharaoh Khaba’s tomb holds for those brave enough to enter…

There seemed to be a smaller quantity of puzzles than other escape rooms but they were more challenging. For those with limited stability on their feet, the sand on the floor can be slippery and dangerous. It was still a fun experience, and our party was able to escape with about 5 minutes remaining and 3 clues used. Would recommend.

Gameplay

It was dark but there were lanterns to assist, adding to the theme of the story. There seemed to be less puzzles than other escape rooms, but they were more challenging. For those with limited stability on their feet, the sand on the floor can be slippery, so be careful when walking around.

Atmosphere

Good set design; neat swiveling feature with one of the props.

Customer service

Great staff. Friendly, helpful, and engaged in the story.

Story

All of the games made sense of the overall theme.

Played right after Wizards Tower. Both are scavengers hunty and it was frustrating. I almost fell, slipping on sand, torquing my knee. Some tech was finicky.

As far as the look of the room the escape room looked great. However, when it came to game play there wasn’t enough light and some of the things were a bit complex to figure out.

We went and did this room just after it opened and we did not like it. Lots of show elements didn’t work. Mystique’s website also says their rooms are handicap able and I wouldn’t consider this room to be that.

A cool room that actually immerses you in the Tomb of Pharaoh Kaba. Some pretty dynamic and challenging puzzles make it a good time.

This is a good game. Not nearly on the level of Murder in London, but fun. For some reason we struggled with a few of the puzzles in this room. We just couldn’t quite get the intent of the puzzle designer. As a result, we needed much more help than we normally do. We were grateful for that and our GM was really good about keeping us on track. Other players may connect better.

Very cool! Everything worked for us, great use of technology! Also, something very interesting to note is that there are no locks and keys so everything you solve is interactive in some way shape or form! The immersion was awesome, the props were very authentic feeling, you definitely feel transported. I felt like the puzzles weren’t too challenging in this puzzle as Murder in London so everybody can partake and enjoy this one without high stress levels. The staff was wonderful, we had a great time and can’t wait to go back and do Wizard’s Tower and the upcoming Vampire room!!

I feel like this room may have been good, but with the technical issues some main puzzles weren’t working. Our game master had to tell us what we would have discovered and essentially give us answers as things weren’t working. We weren’t even offered a discount for a future experience or a partial refund for our experience. I wish I could have seen this in full force as I heard it was good. It was also weird there was only one flashlight and we could use our phones.

Gameplay

There were a lot of technical issues in our game and major puzzles did not work.

Atmosphere

Maybe but they weren’t working.

Customer service

The GM was doing her best, but when we expressed our disappointment with the room not working there was no offer of assistance until we asked for a way to contact the owner.

Game tech

Maybe? Things weren’t working so we didn’t get the full effect.

A lot of work went into an immersive set but I didn’t like the puzzles as much as in Murder in London. We needed more help, larger logical leaps and some puzzles could suck A LOT of time if youre struggling. We won but barely!
